Pelargonium gibbosum is a succulent geranium native to Cape Town. Characterized by winter growth, this plant is attractive to those who want plants that can be forgotten during the summer months.

Description

The Pelargonium gibbosum is a species with disordered growth. The leaves are semi-succulent, of a beautiful glaucous color and with a leathery consistency, with dimensions that vary from 4 to 6 cm. The floral umbels carry from 4 to 14 simple flowers, which vary from yellow ochre to yellow-green. it has winter growth and tends to go into dormancy during the summer months.

Growing

  • Blooming period: II-V (Feb-May)
  • Exposure: prefers sun and partial shade
  • Soil: very drained substrate with the addition of various aggregates
  • Height on delivery: 15-20 cm
  • Maximum height: 30-40 cm
