Bletilla sezchuanica is a fascinating terrestrial orchid , renowned for its cold resistance and ease of cultivation , making it particularly appreciated by both novice gardeners and orchid enthusiasts. It is a variety to be grown preferably in pots .

Description

This garden orchid is a little gem for collectors, it stands out for its delicate and multi-flowered bloomings. The small half-closed flowers, show off a beautiful white with light pink shades, they have a diameter of about 2 cm and a fascinating yellow labellum dotted with fuchsia. The leaves, long and sinuous, of an intense green and with a narrow and folded shape, complete the elegance of this plant.

  • Blooming period: IV-V (Apr-May)
  • Exposure: prefers sun or partial shade
  • Soil: well drained
  • Height on delivery: adult plant or rhizome (if dormant)
  • Maximum height: 15-35 cm

The plants are mature and well developed with several growth points.You will receive flowered plants (or about to bloom), if the purchase occurs during the flowering period. If it occurs during autumn and winter, the plants will be dormant and you will receive a pot with dormant rhizomes.
