Aspidistra 'China Sun' was collected in the wild by Dr. Jim Waddick from the Qing Cheng San Mountains of Sichuan in 1985 and introduced by PDN in 1999. The leaves, borne on long petioles about 50 cm (20") long, are about 10 cm long and half as wide, faintly dotted with pale yellow dots. A vigorous variety, it will over time create a disheveled tuft with leaves borne in Cocker ears. Excellent when grown in a pot or in the garden.
