Hosta plantaginea 'Aphrodite'

Hosta plantaginea 'Aphrodite' is a selection of the type species featuring double, tubular, intensely scented flowers.

Compared to many other Hostas, H. plantaginea and its varieties prefer a half-day of sun to flower better. It is one of the few Hostas that can tolerate full sun, although the leaves will tend to lighten a lot. To have a healthy and lush plant, it must be grown in fertile soil rich in organic matter that always guarantees some humidity.

Deciduous plant, it returns every year in spring, bigger and bigger, with its beautiful light green heart-shaped leaves. Beware of snails, as the tender leaves are loved by them.
