Schizopetalum

Questa specie geofita si distingue per le sue foglie lobate, dai margini serrati e di un elegante color grigio verde. Le foglie sono irsute.

I fiori del Pelargonium schizopetalum sono semplici ma incantevoli, con i petali sfrangiati. I petali superiori sono di un delicato colore verde, mentre quelli inferiori sono di un intenso color bordeaux. Questa combinazione di colori crea un contrasto sorprendente e attraente, selvatica ma sempre bellissima.

A crescita estiva, tende ad andare a riposo in inverno ma mantiene ugualmente le foglie.
