Questa pianta presenta un portamento eretto, con foglie verde scuro screziate con margini bianchi. Quando sfiorate, emanano un odore particolare, difficilmente descrivibile, non da tutti apprezzato. I fiori sono semplici, di un vivace color corallo con gola bianca, un fiore che si fa notare.
