Le foglie del Pelargonium triste sono pennato partite, e ricordano molto il fogliame di una carota. I fiori, semplici e di un color rosso mogano, emanano un profumo intenso durante le ore notturne, regalando un'esperienza sensoriale unica.

Le radici tuberose sotterranee lo aiuteranno nei mesi estivi a resistere ai grandi caldi.
